Welcome to S.M Cleaning Services. By accessing our website or using our cleaning services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before booking any services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using this website and/or booking any services from S.M Cleaning Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our website or services.
2. Services Offered
S.M Cleaning Services provides professional cleaning services including but not limited to:
- Home and residential cleaning
- Office and commercial cleaning
- Deep cleaning services
- Move-in and move-out cleaning
- Carpet and upholstery cleaning
- Car wash and detailing
- Window cleaning
- Floor mopping and waxing
- Compound cleaning and design
- Fumigation and pest control
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time without prior notice.
3. Bookings and Scheduling
3.1 Booking Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email or message from us. We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance to ensure availability, though we strive to accommodate last-minute requests when possible.
3.2 Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when booking our services. This includes but is not limited to your name, contact information, address, and any special instructions or requirements.
3.3 Access to Property
You are responsible for providing access to your property at the scheduled time. If you provide us with keys, access codes, or other entry methods, you do so at your own risk. We recommend securing any valuables before our arrival.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 Pricing
All prices are quoted in the local currency and are subject to change without notice. Prices quoted at the time of booking are guaranteed for that booking only. We strive to ensure all pricing information is accurate, but errors may occur. In the event of an error, we reserve the right to correct it and notify you.
4.2 Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time of service completion unless otherwise agreed. We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
- Mobile money payments
- Bank transfers
- Cash
For recurring services, we may require payment in advance or offer automatic payment options.
4.3 Additional Charges
If the scope of work changes significantly from what was originally quoted (e.g., additional rooms, excessive clutter, unexpected conditions), we may adjust the final price. You will be notified of any changes before additional work begins.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling
5.1 Cancellation Policy
We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a fee of up to 50% of the service cost. "No-show" appointments (where our team arrives and cannot access the property) will be charged the full service amount.
5.2 Rescheduling
You may reschedule your appointment at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the appointment may be treated as a cancellation, and the cancellation policy above applies.
5.3 Weather-Related Cancellations
For outdoor services (car wash, compound cleaning, etc.), we may need to cancel or reschedule due to inclement weather. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and reschedule at no additional cost.
6. Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our work. If you are not completely satisfied with any aspect of our cleaning service, please contact us within 24 hours of the service completion. We will return to re-clean the areas of concern at no additional cost. This guarantee does not cover:
- Pre-existing damage or conditions
- Issues caused by third parties
- Normal wear and tear
- Areas not included in the agreed scope of work
7. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure the best possible service, you agree to:
- Provide a safe working environment free from hazards
- Secure or remove any valuables, fragile items, or sentimental objects
- Inform us of any pets in the home and secure them if necessary
- Disclose any known issues (mold, pest infestations, etc.) before service
- Provide access to water and electricity
- Notify us of any special requirements or areas needing extra attention
8. Liability and Insurance
8.1 Insurance Coverage
S.M Cleaning Services maintains comprehensive liability insurance. In the unlikely event of damage to your property caused by our negligence, we will work with you to make it right, subject to the terms of our insurance policy.
8.2 Limitations of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, S.M Cleaning Services shall not be liable for:
- Damage to items not reported within 24 hours of service completion
- Pre-existing conditions or damage
- Damage caused by faulty equipment, fixtures, or structures
- Loss or damage to items of high sentimental or monetary value that were not brought to our attention
- Indirect or consequential damages
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
8.3 Valuables
We strongly recommend that you secure or remove valuable items such as jewelry, cash, important documents, and sentimental objects before our arrival. We cannot be held responsible for items that are lost or damaged if they were not disclosed and properly secured.
9. Use of Website
9.1 Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of S.M Cleaning Services or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or republish any content without our prior written consent.
9.2 Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use our website for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the website
- Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of Kampala, Uganda.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms agreed upon in writing, constitute the entire agreement between you and S.M Cleaning Services regarding your use of our website and services.
